After a year and a half I finally got down to removing tons of junk from my PC, ran a few malware scans, flushed out the viruses and spyware. Downloaded and ran CCleaner on my drives which were almost full. I still couldnt free up 15% free space, downloaded the trial version of Diskeeper08 and what am amazing job of defrag its done! (planning on upgrading to the full version) Also cleaned out the dust and checked the fans.Now the PC is much faster than it used to be. I think performance is synonymous with maintenance.
